WOYWW

Another Wednesday. Wow it's gone quickly. I say that every week.

As it is Wednesday I'm joining up with Julia over at Stamping Ground for What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday. I love joining in with this. I feel like it keeps me on track.

It's a cold (-11c) and snowy day here in Michigan. Still not sure why I moved here lol. I don't like winter and I don't like snow. At least this year I don't have to go outside in it. I am off to lunch today. I have no car (loaned both of them to out-of-town kids) so my friend is coming by to pick me up. Once a month a group of ex-employees from the place I used to work have got together for lunch. It is fun. I don't miss the place that much but I do miss the people I worked with. It's a great time to gossip and eat out!

Back to what's on my desk. Not too much. Started another book. I am going to use Gorjuss papers (can be seen in the background) for this one. I love these papers and haven't used them despite having a lot of them. I have also started working on another paper bag wallet album. Now that I'm making these I really need to start putting pictures in them lol.

I am off to exercise then look around the rest of the desks. It is still early here - not nine am yet. I don't have to go out shopping today - thank goodness. I dread to think what the lines at the lottery counter look like. The jackpot is up to 1.5 billion (nope not a typing error). I admit to buying a couple of tickets. Can you imagine that much money? It is ridiculous!

  1. That paper bag wallet looks interesting. Greetings for another Michigander. I am staying home today. Put off lunch today, but have rescheduled for tomorrow, I will have to travel on a few county roads and not sure that they would be clear today. But, all in all, Michigan is a really nice state with such a wide variety of landscapes. Sending you a little virtual sunshine.

  5. Enjoy your lunch date but be sure to wrap up. Brrr!
I love books - get so much enjoyment from making them but not done any in a while - must get back on the track when I return home in February.

Thanks for visiting me - Hugs, Neet 3 xx

  7. I would feel the same if I gave up work - miss the people but not the employers! I have certain papers that I seem to collect and never want to use as they are just too nice.
Thank you for visiting my blog earlier - my journal pages are a step closer to completion.

  9. Golly, I like the looks of your paper bag wallet. It sure will be fun to see it completed (HINT).

Have fun out and about with your friends. I hope they picked a good place to eat. I sometimes go out with my friend Sally, and some of the places are wonderful, while others are not.

Thanks for visiting while I slept. It was 8 F this morning when I got up. Although I am not fond of cold, I'd rather have it than excessive heat. Since I can't throw anything away, the tea dyed papers are the leftovers (actually an afterthought) from a tea bag dyeing tutorial I'll post on my blog tomorrow (Thursday). Happy WOYWW from #2.

  13. Hi Sharon! I don't mind the snow and the cold as long as I don't have to go anywhere. Sounds like a lovely day for you hanging with friends and you don't even have to drive! Funny, my hubby just mentioned about the lottery and I told him that I wouldn't want to have that much money because it is too much responsibility. I would feel guilty keeping it to myself and I wouldn't know how to make good use of it. It's big enough of an amount that you could make a difference in the world. That kinda scares me! Thanks for visiting earlier!

  14. Hello, Sharon. I'm with you --- I don't like snow and I don't like the cold, but since I'm stuck with the climate, it provides a good excuse for crafting. :) Thanks for stopping by my place and for your comments. You have some nice papers there, and paper bag albums are such fun to make, aren't they? As for that amount of money: no thanks! I think it would be awful trying to decide who to help, and being hounded by those who want some of the pie. I'm happy with what I have. :)

  15. ah I had to laugh about the why do you live where there is winter comment. ( I tend to think that every winter) and nope, I don't actually buy lotto tickets so, its pretty amazing when they show the lines people are willing to stand in to buy them to me. of course I will stand in line to go to say craft shows lol. like the happy color of your book under construction too :) ~Stacy #57

  16. I love the Gorjuss papers as well - you'll have to show a photo of the book when you've finished. I thought it was cold here this morning (about 1) -11 sounds awful!!

  18. great looking desk and love those papers. I have never really bought a lottery ticket. I was going to go today on my way home from the therapist but forgot...hmmm...maybe it is a sign...if it doesn't go today I will buy one for the next draw. Hope you have a great week and thanks for visiting my desk earlier. Vickie #61

  19. Oh goodness, that is COLD. It's just wet and miserable here in England. Did you win anything in the lottery? I must stop stroking my Gorjuss papers and get on and use them!

  21. Thanks for calling by at mine yesterday. I had a long busy day yesterday so am having to catch up with my visits today.
-11 sounds soooooo cold. I know we could really do with a few frosts to kill all the bugs going round here but think I could cope with maybe -1 or -2 :-) I don't want much do I? Have a great week.

  22. What a lovely productive looking desk - and I like the papers, although I've never heard of them before. We're just having our first cold spell of the winter and it's taking a bit of getting used to - it will definitely not get anywhere near -11 so I shall think of you before I moan about how cold it is here!! Keep warm and have a good week,

  24. Thanks for visiting me (the card is now on my blog). You look so organised and having had a look at your other posts the books look amazing. I can't imagine a lottery jackpot being so big, not suprised you invested in a couple of tickets!

  25. Hello there and thanks for popping by - I'm still playing catch up with my visiting. Gosh that is cold - it's gone colder but nothing like that!! I would like a bit of snow - not too much or everything grinds to a halt :-)Your project looks interesting. anne x #64

  26. Very interesting desk, Sharon - I love your mug rack with all the scissors on it! What a great idea. Also your paper bag album - I started one of these a while back but had to set it aside in favour of another album and never got back to it, but it's a project to finish this year. Your papers are lovely.

Thanks for your lovely comment - I am getting there but needing lots of rest, and we are going through a busy period at the moment!

    Happy belated WOYWW,

  28. I'm not at all late getting here, me. No. Absolutely on time. Today is still Wednesday if I say it is, right? Hehehe

Wow to the lottery jackpot amount - well, someone has to win it so I don't blame you for buying a couple of tickets! Think of the inks and papers you could buy with that...

    Thanks for stopping by!

  30. Hi, Sharon, sorry I'm so late returning your WOYWW visit. Sorry you're experiencing bitter cold. We're in upstate NY and had very cold and snowy winters the last two years, but so far (knock on wood) this one has been much nicer. It's 43 degrees at 6:24 PM as I write this -- pretty much unheard of for January 31st. Hope you have a good week! ~ Laura #45
